Thriving in a Digital Age Pathways

We are delighted to launch the Thriving in a Digital Age Pathways.

Developed by NHS Education for Scotland on behalf of Scottish Government and COSLA, the Pathways are intended to build understanding of the role of digital in health and social care. There are four pathways; Explore, Embed, Drive and Shape which are aligned to levels of responsibility. Key digital concepts are introduced and developed over the course of the pathway series, with each pathway building on the themes introduced in the pathway before.

Each pathway contains five steps, and each step consists of links to a resource (something to read, watch, or listen to) and accompanying activities to reflect on learning and consider how it can be applied in your own organisation. We have specifically chosen a small range of resources for each pathway, in a variety of formats and styles to support your understanding and learning.

By working through the steps, you will be challenged to think about what you know and your understanding of working with a digital mindset.

The pathways are not specific to any profession, organisation or role and apply to the entire health and social care workforce in Scotland (NHS, Local Authorities, Health and Social Care Partnerships, Social Work, Social Care, Care and Support Providers, Housing, Third and Independent Sectors), including managers, leaders, and those in strategic positions.

Full instructions, more information, and the opportunity to provide feedback are available on the pathways site.
